I would like to share with you my personal experience with a very interesting and wise woman who worked with a few of us for a week at the Hypocrites Centre. This week was dedicated to people who have experienced a cancer diagnosis.
Dr. Janet Hranicky is an MD and a Phd specializing in psycho-neuro-immunology. Her field of research is the biology of feelings, in other words, the way our emotions and behaviour influence our physical and energetic fields. She was discussing with the group the impact of chronic stress and negative emotions and beliefs, on our nervous system, immune system, endocrine system, GI system and more.
Each one of us shared very intimately the possible emotions that create illness in our bodies. And the conversation was around shifting physiology by shifting emotions. The work with her opened up for many of us some deep layers of insight, and for me personally, I understood on an even deeper level the need to release a certain old belief that was hiding in plain sight.
I then took the initiative and did my own healing meditations, using visual imagery that showed up in my meditation to clear up that old belief. It had catapulted me to a place of even greater freedom and lightness of being. I consider this experience to be my gold nugget.I am inviting you, the reader, to consider the patterns of stress that you are allowing in your own life.
Take a compassionate look at how the stress is impacting your body, mind and spirit. How is it robbing you of your ability to enjoy your moments, be present and able to make constructive choices for yourself? Make a commitment to your well-being and inch along the path with small, dedicated steps. It could save your health, your happiness and your growth.
