A New Year of Gratitude
Updated: Apr 30
I’d like to share with you a beautiful prayer by Dr. Annette Childs that a friend shared with me. This prayer really catches the spirit of longing to be the highest and best version of ourselves.
Today as I set my intention for the new year, I ask that spirit -by every name I call it be present here with me now.
I ask that every guide, every as ascended master, every being of light all who know my name and actively work for my good, to be with me in this new year- to help me grow into loving, conscious, kind, and joyful being that I am meant to be -
I call for beautiful golden roots of light, to emerge from the soles of my feet and to sink deeply into the sacred dirt beneath me keeping me stable, steady, grounded, and on my right and perfect path.
I ask that my crown chakra be opened, and that the white light, wisdom, guidance, and protection of all the light bearers who know my name…
stream continually into my being helping me to see what I meant to see, to hear what I meant to hear, and to speak what I meant to speak.
I ask that in this new year the interactive universe show itself to me in ways that are unexpected and delightful- and in return I promise to acknowledge these meetings.
In this new year, may I be shown the path of grace and be given the guidance to take it.
For me personally, joy and gratitude are key heart and soul openers. There has been a lot of talk about gratitude, at the same time the daily practice of it never gets old. Here are some of my thoughts about it.
“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.” –Buddha
Take time to meditate on all things for which you are grateful for.
When we are grateful, we acknowledge the universe’s loving generosity manifesting in our lives.
When we are grateful, we affirm our connection and oneness with the universe’s love.
When we are grateful, our hearts feel a deep trust in divine order and goodness.
When we are grateful, we touch bliss and know happiness.
“Let's be grateful for those who give us happiness; they are the charming gardeners who make our soul bloom.” - Marcel Proust
