Gates of Power™ Method:

Nomi Bachar Hashalem well being psychotherapyNomi Bachar, the director of Gates of Power™, has created a powerful and effective method of healing and self-actualization, integrating seven aspects of self-development. The method is a synergy of the following elements called gates:

  1. The Gate of the Body:

  2. The Gate of Emotions:

  3. The Gate of Dialogue:

  4. The Gate of Creative Expression:

  5. The Gate of Life Path:

  6. The Gate of Silence:

  7. The Gate of Knowledge:

  1. The Gate of the Body: Within this gate we explore the body, its expression and its energetic patterns. Through different processes and exercises, we gain awareness of our relationship to our body.  We learn to understand the body as a mirror of our consciousness.  We experience the body as an instrument of creativity and expression.  We find where and how we block our energy and constrict our aliveness. We release the unnecessary and the embrace our healthy needs and desires.
  2. The Gate of Emotions: Within this gate we learn to experience, explore and express our feelings.  Repressed or denied emotions are brought up to the surface, acknowledged, understood, embraced with compassion and released through different expressive modalities, so that healing and integration can occur.  Positive emotions are supported and expressed creating a sense of spontaneity and authenticity.
  3. The Gate of Dialogue:  Within this gate we explore the importance of relating consciously and constructively with ourselves, with others, and with all living things.
    • Internal Dialogue:  Using Gestalt and psycho-dramatic exercises, we become aware of and learn to voice our relationships with different parts of ourselves. By doing this, we gain understanding, knowledge, and compassion towards ourselves. We eliminate inner conflicts and create a more unified self.
    • External Dialogues: Learning to communicate with others from a heartfelt, honest, place that is neither judging nor attacking. We cultivate better listening and mirroring skills.
  4. Nomi Bachar Hashalem well being psychotherapyThe Gate of Expression and Creativity:  Within this gate we cultivate our creative expression using all the arts.  Creativity and expression strengthens our sense of self, deepens our knowledge of ourselves, and frees our ability to share with others. We use movement, sound, writing, drawing, music and the making of music, as part of our path to self-expression and self-empowerment.
  5. The Gate of Life Path:  Within this gate we explore our life goals and their actualization.  The expression of ourselves in the world and how we use our talents, skills, and capabilities is very important in creating a fulfilling life for ourselves and others.  We help our clients define their goals and facilitate their becoming proactive and responsible in the pursuit of their goals.
  6. The Gate of Silence: Within this gate we find the ability to be silent.   Our mind is mostly obsessive and compulsive.  The gate of silence emphasizes the importance of gaining the ability to be truly silent.  Within silence we can experience profound clarity and peace.  We use meditative processes that are experienced in silence, either lying down, walking or sitting. We use traditional, as well as new and innovative forms of meditation, visualizations, guided imagery and the witnessing of mind, feelings and bodily sensations
  7. The Gate of Knowledge:  Gates of Power™ embraces all spiritual paths.  This aspect of the method encourages you to immerse yourself in the study of different spiritual philosophies and scientific discoveries to deepen your understanding of the nature of reality.
